WHO we are and WHAT we are doing

Hello and welcome to our blog!
The four of us are middle school  homeschoolers and we are members of a local  Destination Imagination team. If you have never heard of DI that's okay!  Long story short, DI is a competition that challenges young minds to think creatively to solve a problem. These "problems" are what we call "Central Challenges" and we work for about six months trying to solve these "challenges. We have chosen to do Project Outreach this year. Our challenge is to find a need within our "Community" and to find a way to help support that need using a "Social Network".
OUR definition of "Community" is very broad. We know of several women who have had breast cancer and we know that health care is a major issue for most of the country right now. When we heard that one of the women in our local home school community was receiving assistance from an organization called "The Bridge", we KNEW that we had found our "Project" to "Outreach" to.
The Bridge Breast Network is a non profit organization that saves lives by providing access to diagnostic and treatment services for breast cancer to low-income, uninsured and under-insured individuals. The Bridge Breast Network, has assisted more than 100,000 individuals in 16 North Texas counties.
We hope that you can join us and maybe even find a way to help us out as we bring attention to and help raise money for The Bridge network.

Thanks,
A, E, M & S
